The short version

Canopy Kids does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. There are no servers. The app connects directly to your Plex Media Server.

What the app stores locally

Canopy Kids stores the following data on your device only, never transmitted elsewhere:

• Your Plex authentication token (stored in the iOS Keychain)
• Your Plex server address
• Profile settings, PIN, and parental control preferences
• Favorites and playback progress (synced to your Plex server directly)
• Cached media thumbnails for faster loading

Third-party services

Canopy Kids communicates only with your own Plex Media Server and Plex's authentication service (plex.tv) to sign you in. We have no affiliation with Plex Inc. beyond using their public API. Please review Plex's privacy policy for how they handle authentication data.

Analytics and tracking

None. Zero. We don't use any analytics SDKs or tracking frameworks.

Children's privacy

Canopy Kids is designed for children to use under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Given that we collect nothing, changes should be rare.
