Common questions

Do I need a Plex Media Server?
Yes. Canopy connects to your existing Plex server — it doesn't host or provide any content itself. You'll need a Plex Media Server running with your own media library.
Do I need Plex Pass?
No. Canopy works with any free Plex account. Plex Pass is not required.
The app can't find my server
Make sure your Plex server is running and that your device is on the same network, or that remote access is enabled in your Plex server settings. Try signing out and back in if the issue persists.
Can my kids accidentally access my full Plex library?
No. Canopy only shows libraries and content you've explicitly approved in the parental controls. Everything else is hidden behind a PIN.
What devices are supported?
Canopy is available on iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. Submit a refund request at reportaproblem.apple.com.
